Presentation of the SILLAGES initiative
The SILLAGES initiative - free resources for enhancing SocIaL and internationaL Acces to the Grandes EcoleS - , officially launched at the Palais du Luxembourg, in Paris, in November 2010, has been conducted, since October 2011, by the SILLAGES.info not-for-profit association whose members are (in alphabetical order) APLCPGE, Conférence des grandes écoles, Ecole normale supérieure, Ecole Polytechnique ParisTech, EDHEC, ePrep, ESSEC and UNISCIEL. In March 2011, SILLAGES was proud to get the patronage of Commissariat à la diversité et à l'égalité des chances.
The ambition of the SILLAGES initiative is to reach a collaborative production of multimedia content (level L0, L1 and L2) for scenarised and interoperable resources complementing the present online availability related to the French higher education, and especially for the access to the "grandes écoles" (focussing in humanities, business, and sciences).
The SILLAGES initiative results of the development of two Web sites which have been developed in their exploratory phase by ePrep since 2006:
- the SILLAGES Platform hosted by Ecole Polytechnique / ParisTech,
- the SILLAGES Wiki hosted by ESSEC.
SILLAGES is developed by about 60 actors from 9 countries presented at section Actors of the SILLAGES initiative.
Positioning, targeted public, actions developed for enhancing access to the "grandes écoles" are listed in sections:
- SILLAGES for enhancing social access to the "grandes écoles"
- SILLAGES for enhancing international access to the "grandes écoles"
Authors of all domains are invited to respond to the SILLAGES Calls for contributions. Awards are organised each year for authors, on the occation of the SILLAGES Events.
The SILLAGES initiative has for partner OMERIC and is supported by Agence universitaire de la Francophonie. The partnership with Universités numériques thématiques(UNT), engaged with UNISCIEL, is under development (see the figure).
