Positioning
In France, the "grandes écoles" bring together 320 000 étudiants, deliver 40% of Master degrees, offer diversified access, and develop social openess. In this framework, the SILLAGES initiative contributes positively.
Targeted public
In term of social openess, SILLAGES targets:
- students entering higher education with different backgrounds,
- students in "classes préparatoires" and socially disadvantaged,
- students in L1 or L2 trainings preparaing exams to enter "grandes écoles'.
Actions
Multidisciplinary adapted resources and distance training
SILLAGES encourages authors to contribute to the SILLAGES Platform and to the SILLAGES Wiki through the SILLAGES Calls for contributions. To date, these Websites offer more than 400 free pedagogical resources.
- Beyond, at the end of 2011, a SILLAGES distance training has been opened in ancient Greek to allow Lycée Montesquieu students to stay in their establishment (see here, in French).
Tutoring
Partenrships are proposed to organisations specialised in student accompaniment (Association PARTAGE, Association Tremplin, Frateli, Réussir aujourd'hui, Les cordées de la réussite, Une grande école pourquoi pas moi ?).
Collaborative work
In order to better adapt SILLAGES resources to students'needs, and to be able, in the future, to build an offer for each type of user, a collaborative work has been developed within the SILLAGES Community of Practice.
